Friday 24th June (Sacred Heart of Jesus)
Intention: For the Church: that shepherds and all the Baptised will proclaim God’s Mercy
‘ What man among you with a hundred sheep, losing one, would not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness and go after the missing one till he found it? And when he found it, would he not joyfully take it on his shoulders and then, when he got home, call together his friends and neighbours? “Rejoice with me,” he would say “I have found my sheep that was lost.” . (Luke 15:3-7)
The Novena Prayer will be recited at 10 am Mass each day & weekend Masses. Petitions can be placed in the petition boxes in our Churches
O Divine Jesus, who said,
“Ask and you shall receive”,
I kneel at your feet.
From whom shall I ask if not from you,
whose heart is the source of all blessings.
With a lively faith in you,
I come to ask…
Share your petitions silently with the Sacred Heart.
I admit I am most unworthy of your favours, Jesus,
but this is not a reason for me to be discouraged.
You are the God of mercies and you will not refuse a contrite heart.
Look with pity on me,
I beg you, and your compassionate Heart
will find in my weakness a motive for granting my request & the petitions of all who make this Novena
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on me.
