Emily O’Neill (née Corcoran)

Carrick Heights, Gracedieu, late of Morrisons Road, Waterford

who died on Sunday 11th January 2026 aged 85 years.

Predeceased by her husband Larry, daughter Margaret, parents Joseph and Margaret, brothers Tom, Joe, John and Jim, sister Mavis (Roche).

Emily will be reposing in Power’s Funeral Home, Ferrybank, on Monday, 12th January, from 5pm followed by removal at 6.45pm to The Sacred Heart Church, Ferrybank, Emily’s Requiem Mass will take place on Tuesday 13th January at 10am, after which Emily will be laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery.

Reflection

In an era marked by strong currents of secularisation, materialism and individualism, when many people have pushed God to the margins of life, if they haven’t forgotten about Him entirely, Christians can be tempted to lose hope and retreat into a holy huddle...
