Who died on Monday 12th January 2026   Aged 96 years

Predeceased by her husband Paddy, son Jimmy, parents Richard and Bridget, brother James, sisters Jo, Bridie and Mary.

Ellen will be reposing in Power’s Funeral Home, Ferrybank, on Wednesday, 14th January, from 5pm followed by removal at 7.45pm to The Sacred Heart Church, Ferrybank, Ellen’s Requiem Mass will take place on Thursday 15th January at 12noon, after which Ellen will be laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery.

Emily O’Neill (née Corcoran) 

Carrick Heights, Gracedieu, late of Morrisons Road, Waterford

who died on Sunday 11th January 2026 aged 85 years.

Predeceased by her husband Larry, daughter Margaret, parents Joseph and Margaret, brothers Tom, Joe, John and Jim, sister Mavis (Roche).

Emily will be reposing in Power’s Funeral Home, Ferrybank, on Monday, 12th January, from 5pm followed by removal at 6.45pm to The Sacred Heart Church, Ferrybank, Emily’s Requiem Mass will take place on Tuesday 13th January at 10am, after which Emily will be laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery.

Kate (Kitty) Irish (née Fitzgerald)

Mount Swan, Nicholastown, Slieverue and late of Aylwardstown, Glenmore, Co. Kilkenny

who died on Friday 9th January 2026 aged 89 years old

Predeceased by her husband Pat, parents Michael and Mary, sisters Peggy (Roche), Nellie (Irish) and Molly (Doherty) and grandson Patrick.

Kate will  be reposing in her home on Sunday, 11th January, from 11.30am until 5.30pm, Kate’s removal will take place on Monday, 12th January to the Church of the Assumption, Slieverue arriving for Requiem Mass at 11am after which Kate will be laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery.
