Helen Phelan (née Fleming)

Mount Sion, Ferrybank, Waterford

who died on Tuesday 17th December 2024 aged 93 years

Helen will be reposing at her home on Friday, 20th December, from 5pm until 7pm. Helen’s removal will take place on Saturday, 21st December, to the Sacred Heart Church, Ferrybank, arriving for Requiem Mass at 10am after which Helen will be laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery.

Reflection

In an era marked by strong currents of secularisation, materialism and individualism, when many people have pushed God to the margins of life, if they haven’t forgotten about Him entirely, Christians can be tempted to lose hope and retreat into a holy huddle... In the midst of such rapid change, some may be tempted to lose heart.
