who died on Thursday, 23rd November 2023. Aged 86 years.

Predeceased by her husband Patrick, parents James and Ellen, brothers Christy and Jim, sister Maura.

Joanie’s Requiem Mass will take place on Monday, 27th November, in The Sacred Heart Church, Ferrybank, at 10am after which Joanie will be laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery.

Reflection

In an era marked by strong currents of secularisation, materialism and individualism, when many people have pushed God to the margins of life, if they haven’t forgotten about Him entirely, Christians can be tempted to lose hope and retreat into a holy huddle... In the midst of such rapid change, some may be tempted to lose heart.
